| Whether photographing architecture or people, industry or landscapes, Gottlieb's photographs unite three elements: strong composition, revealing light and graphic perspective. Famed architect I.M. Pei said "Gottlieb transcends traditional architectural photography by interpreting architecture with the vision of a true artist." Gottlieb's photographs have been featured extensively on the web sites of both Kodak and Nikon. |
| Gottliebs travels across all 50 states has resulted in three books. His first book, Washington: Portrait of a City, formed the core of a permanent exhibition at the National Building Museum. His second book, American Icons, is the photographer's hommage to every major symbol of our nation. His third book, Abandoned America is a poignant look at abandoned objects--from farms to factories, silver mines to sewing machines; this book was selected by PEOPLE magazine and USA Today as a "2002 gift book of the year." |
